Calis Beach is a small beach resort with stunning views (and spectacular sunsets) across the Bay to Sovalye Island and Fethiye.
Along the seafront there is a pedestrianised boulevard where there are many bars and restaurants.
The atmosphere is very informal and relaxed here, making it ideal for sun-worshippers and family holidays.
If you want to spend some livelier hours, than take a dolmus or alternatively the very pleasant water taxi to nearby Fethiye, with its colourful harbour, shops, and nightlife.
There are many things to do in Calis, there are water sports including windsurfing, waterskiing and scuba diving available at the beach, and a specialist surf school.
There is also an aqua park with pools, slides and entertainment.
Outside of Calis Beach there are boat trips, a trip to Dalyan and the mud baths, paragliding from Babadag Mountain in Olu Deniz, a trip to Kayakoy a deserted village, Saklikent where you can walk through the gorge, and the list goes on.

I have just returned from a holiday in Calis and noticed a hotel next to the Sultans Aqua park. The hotel had security on and was very plush. it could be seen from the Aqua park.
please could you give me the name of this hotel as i plan to send my parents there.

The hotel you are referring to is the Orient Resort. Used to be known as the Aries Hotel, had a refurb 2 years ago. There are mixed reports about the quality of standards. I would not advise sending your parents there. They might feel more comfortable staying at the Orange Guest House close to the Calis Sunday Market and owned and run by English.
